Soaking up the Rays

Two Palms by ~ladyelvenstar on deviantART
Well, I wanted to let you know that I will be gone for a week on a business trip - in sunny Puerto Rico! I will be back around the 28th of February to my snow-ridden town in Northern Canada. :)

Is it really worth mentioning that I'm jealous... One week, snow and kids free, sounds like heaven...

But you are bringing your laptop and MotB DVD, correct? Oh, but it's true, you don't need the DVD to fire up the TS ;).

LOL! E.C., yes, it will be a slice of heaven to have a break from snow and kids (will miss them though!)

No, I won't be bringing a laptop- won't have time since I will be busy in conference meetings all day and partying all night! They have planned a street party in San Juan and some sort of rainforest party the next night while we are there. :)

It sounds lovely to leave the winter behind for a while! Maybe I can convince you to take my conference trip to Iceland in April and let me go on yours instead? ;)

Have a great time!

Amraphael, I consider you a good friend...but there is no way I am trading places with you! :D

I am sure you'll enjoy Iceland, I've heard it doesn't live up to its name. ;>

The furnace went out in my house last night. It was 50 degrees inside when I woke up. Burrr...

That screen shot makes me quite envious. Have a great trip.

@Wyrin - can't blame you! That would be quite a screenshot, wouldn't it? ;D Enjoy your time in Iceland if you decide to go!

@Ernie, I know what it is like to have the furnace break down in cold weather....brrrr! Thanks and I can't wait!

Have a fun & safe trip, Lady E!

Thanks, jclef! I didn't realize I'd be so close to the Bermuda Triangle...that makes me a tad nervous. :D

Well, obviously I got into the wrong profession. Enjoy your escape from the snow!

Ryshara said...

Thanks, Brie! I don't know about the profession thing - we work our butts off the rest of the year... LOL!

I'm going to guess that flu and cold season probably sucks too.

And I figured out a long time ago that I was in the wrong profession. I'm just stuck there now. :))

I have neither snow nor kids here in NYC, but I'm still jealous! (I'm actually jealous of the snow, too.)

Ryshara said...

Maerduin, honestly you can have all my snow! How about I ship it to you through the toolset? Now, my kids are another matter though...I am sorta partial to them so I think I'll keep them. :p

But...keep an eye for my snow! :D

That looks so nice and warm. I can't wait for spring and summer to come.

Lady E, I will be in your homeland on Thursday I have a day trip to Toronto.

Haha!
Inspired by all this talk about warmth, sun, party and drinks I've booked a flight to Egypt first week in April. By then you are stuck in the damp Canadian, snow slosh and I'm swimming in the Red Sea with a silly sun hat on my head! :)

*doing some two dimensional egyptian dance steps with an evil grin on my face*

@amraphael, with friends like you, who needs enemies? LOL - just kidding! Have a blast in Egypt and it is already snowing again where I live... oh the joys of living in the Great White North!

@delak - Welcome to Canada and enjoy your trip to Toronto! (which happens to be on the other side of Canada from where I live...my town is much more quiet and peaceful as well as not as cold as Toronto.)
