First Mini-Trailer of A Time to Die

I've created my first video of the A Time To Die campaign - it is a small video of a few minutes where the player runs and fights throughout Red Larch in Chapter One. I wanted to see how easy it would be to make a video trailer. I used Fraps (fraps.com) for the initial video capture and then used Windows Movie Maker to compress and edit the movie file. I uploaded it to YouTube.com and embedded the code here so you can watch the video. Only took me a whole day to figure out how to do this, thanks to Amraphael and Ayrin on the forums for their advice.! :)

** Update! I discovered how to record the video with sound, here is an updated video trailer below **

Lady E, that's awesome! The areas look sweet and I see a lot of interaction going on. Did you add any sound to this? Song or whatever? I can't hear anything.

Thanks for sharing!

Hey Jclef and Michele! Thanks for watching the video and I'm glad that you liked it. Okay, I am trying to figure out why the sound doesn't record since there is definitely music in the tavern and the fights would be more dramatic with sound! LOL... stay tuned. ;)

This is great. Looking forward to be able to explore your areas and get to know all these people. Too bad about the sound though, may have to edit the settings in fraps. I'll be keeping a further eye on your work though, so keep it up :)

All Right!!

Looks Great, the areas appear to have the LadyE touch for realism, (the textures look really good)
Maybe you should have someone test some of these areas, I'm sure you could find someone willing to do so...;) (hint hint)

Hey Jonny, I don't what I did to it but now the sound works. I've recorded more footage and did a new video for everyone to watch...I appreciate your feedback!

Chet, you know you'll be first to test them when the files are ready! Thanks for your compliments... :D

Want to play it now! *jumps and wave my arms* The areas look so alive. Great stuff Lady E!

Thank you so much for that comment, Amraphael - I was hoping that the module would look alive! That is exactly the atmosphere I was trying to achieve. :)

Hi Lady Elvenstar,

The video shows you have a gift at designing areas by the looks of things. Really atmospheric from what I saw.

Can't you upload video directly to your blog by the way? (Without having to use YouTube.)

Thanks for the compliments on my design work - that is very encouraging! Yes, I could upload the video directly, but it is easier to track views using YouTube.com :)

Very nice job on the trailer. Looks like it's going to be great.

Thanks, Ernie! Now, if I could just finish it and release it already. LOL! I'm always tweaking an area or rewriting the dialogs. :)
